Seat of House Manderly, a castle of pale stone crowning the hill above the city of White Harbor. The Manderlys raised it after their flight from the Reach, when the Starks granted them the mouth of the White Knife, and from its halls they have ruled the richest port of the North ever since.
The Merman's Court
The great hall of New Castle is called the Merman's Court, its walls, floor, and ceiling cunningly painted with all the creatures of the sea. There the lords Manderly hold audience beneath the merman of their banners, dispensing justice for the city below.
Castle Above the Harbor
From the New Castle's walls the whole of White Harbor spreads down to the water: the wide wharves, the Sept of the Snows, and the old Wolf's Den brooding at the harbor's mouth.
