Seat of the Daynes of High Hermitage, a cadet branch of the ancient house of Starfall, standing high in the Red Mountains above the Torentine. It is a remote hold of stone and silence, far from the courts and pleasure gardens of eastern Dorne.
The Daynes of the Mountains
The knights of High Hermitage owe fealty to their cousins at Starfall, though the mountain branch has bred proud and prickly lords who bow to few. Theirs is a darker star than the one that graces the arms of the elder line, and their tempers are said to match their sigil.
A Mountain Hold
Perched among crags and pine, the castle watches the high valleys of the westernmost Red Mountains. Travelers on the mountain paths between Starfall and the Prince's Pass may shelter there, if its lords are in a hosting mood.
