A crumbling grey castle upon a rock in the Sea of Dorne, long abandoned as a lordly seat and kept now as a prison. The princes of Dorne send their worst criminals to rot behind its salt-eaten walls.
The Prison Rock
Dorne takes few heads. A man judged too vile to pardon and too dangerous to free is given to Ghaston Grey, where the sea serves for walls and the gulls for gaolers. Few who are rowed out to the rock are ever rowed back, and lords have been sent there as readily as smallfolk.
A Slow Ruin
No house has held Ghaston Grey in living memory, and no coin is spent on its repair beyond what keeps the cells shut. Its towers slump a little more with every storm off the Sea of Dorne, yet the castle has outlasted every prisoner it has swallowed.
