Seat of House Buckwell in the crownlands north and west of King's Landing, named for the rack of antlers the house bears on its banners. The castle sits among wooded hills where the lands of the crown run toward the Gods Eye and the riverlands beyond.
Pride of the Antlers
The Buckwells are huntsmen of old, and the halls of the Antlers are hung with trophies of stag and boar taken in the surrounding woods. Their lands lie on the path of armies moving between the riverlands and the capital, and the lords of the Antlers have learned the hard wisdom of small houses: keep the larders full, the walls in repair, and the banners ready to follow whichever king sits the Iron Throne.
