Seat of House Smallwood, a snug castle of stone set among the wooded hills of the southern riverlands. Six acorns brown upon a field of green fly above its gates, and oaks older than the hall itself crowd close about its walls.
A Small Keep, An Open Gate
The Smallwoods are bannermen to Harrenhal, though their hearts, like most in the riverlands, look rather to Riverrun. Their hall is small as great seats are counted, yet travelers on the forest roads know it for its open gate and warm hearth. In times of trouble the smallfolk of the surrounding villages shelter behind its walls, and the lords of Acorn Hall have never been known to turn them away.
